Pagers and Cell Phones Save Lives.

People are able to call for help using their cell phones and pagers when they are trapped in some deserted places.
One day in 1994 one of my youngest son's soccer team mates names Brian was riding in a SUV with his mother and younger brother Brandon into the deserted place south of Spokane Valley, Washington. Brian was nine years old and Brandon was six. When their mother stopped her SUV, turned it off and took out a gun from her purse. She shot at both boys and then herself. After Brian was shot in his abdomen, he found his mother's cell phone in her purse and called for help. The police and paramedic found them and they were taken to the hospital. Brandon and their mother were pronounced dead. Brian recovered nicely from surgery and was living with his father, the owner of the motorcycle and snowmobile store. He continued playing soccer afterward. His mother was not smart about keeping her cell phone in her purse that had saved Brian's life.
